Chair Tai Chi for All is a Mind Body Aware Games practice connecting attention with simple postures: Wind, World, Fire, Left, Self, Right, Water, Other People, and Ground. Posture 0, Exit and Return, invites you to take care of something else and then return.
There are many ways to divide reality, including 2 Yin Yang states, 3 Past Present Future states, 4 Season states, 4 Western Element states, 5 Chinese Element states, 5 Japanese Element states, 8 Ba Gua states, these 9 Energy States, 12 Hour states, 12 Month states, and so on.
Fast mode hides the clock and gives more space to the figure. Optional music.mp3 loops in Fast mode and, when enabled in Options, Slow mode. Adjust music volume in Options. Music is on by default in both modes. Fast mode starts by default and selects a different random posture from 1–9 every 15 seconds (Posture 0 is excluded), showing and speaking its number, element, and description. Slow mode follows the last digit of the current clock minute: posture instructions for seconds 0–19, definition for seconds 20–39, and a silent map for seconds 40–59. The first partial minute gives each stage up to 20 seconds before the next clock minute. Use Fast / Slow to the left of Sit / Stand to switch immediately. Speech stops whenever a new stage begins. You can turn speech off in Options. This is a contemporary awareness exercise inspired by meditation and gentle movement, not a traditional historical Tai Chi sequence.
Fast mode defaults to a 5-minute Timed session. Slow mode defaults to Keep Going, with music on. Options has separate Timed / Keep Going choices for Fast and Slow. Session type and timed length apply to the next session or when switching modes; switching modes starts the selected mode’s timer afresh. Move gently within your comfort. Hiding the browser tab pauses the session and speech; press Resume Session when you return. Fast mode preserves the remaining time for its current posture while paused. When a timed session completes, a gong sounds and the journal opens. End Session stops either session type and opens the journal. You may save a note or simply close it.
Use the Sit / Stand button in the upper right to choose your posture images. The app starts sitting. In sitting mode, follow the arm and head movements while remaining seated; stepping instructions apply to standing practice. State 0, Exit and Return, uses the same image in both modes.
